Mytheresa did not need a runway to stage one of New York Fashion Week’s sharpest brand moments. It needed Chloë Sevigny, Café Chelsea and a room that already knew how to hold a story.

The moment behind the moment
The Saturday gathering brought designers, editors and fashion figures into Hotel Chelsea, with Sevigny hosting inside the same building used for Mytheresa’s Fall 2026 campaign. That continuity mattered. The campaign image, the host and the location all reinforced one idea: New York style is strongest when it feels lived in rather than rented for a night.
The guest list carried industry weight, but the experiential strategy was more interesting than the names. Campaign postcards appeared throughout the venue. Champagne, caviar-topped bites and black-and-white cookies turned hospitality into an extension of the visual language. Nothing fought the setting.
Fashion-week events often chase spectacle. Mytheresa chose memory. At Hotel Chelsea, the brand borrowed history and gave it a present-tense reason to matter.
